Welcome to the UP Intelligent Systems Center. The Center aims develop and offer solutions to complex societal problems by bringing together expertise from different UP constituent units and beyond. Intelligent systems—which use elements of many modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and automation, and which can adopt and adapt frameworks, strategies, and mechanisms used by complex living systems—are emerging in response to the convergence of the virtual and physical worlds. Such systems are critical in the development of autonomous systems, robotic equipment, smart devices, augmented reality, intelligent manufacturing, and many other relevant technologies that are helpful in solving complex problems that our society faces today and will challenge us in the near future.
